George H. Davis, Ph.D.

Dr. Davis is Clinical Director, Center for Dialectical and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies and has been on the faculty of the Yale Medical School since 1975. He has extensive training in cognitive behavioral therapies as well as in psychodynamic treatment. He has been conducting DBT therapy with individuals and in groups since 1995 and has been a trainer with Marsha Linehan's national organization, Behavioral Tech. He has worked with the full spectrum of psychological disorders in adults and adolescents in multiple settings including hospitals, a child and adolescent residential treatment facility and in multiple outpatient settings including college counseling centers. He served as Clinical Director of Lynwood, and Living Free, substance abuse treatment programs for adolescents and adults. He has provided program development consultation to multiple state agencies and schools and has conducted DBT workshops nationally. He holds a Certificate of Proficiency in the Treatment of Alcohol and Other Psychoactive Substance Use Disorders from the American Psychological Association. A licensed psychologist, he received his M.S., M. Phil. and Ph.D. from Yale University. He is a Fellow and Past President of the CT Psychological Association.

Kary Strickland, LCSW

Ms. Strickland is a licensed clinical social worker. She received her Masters in Social Work from the University of Chicago. Ms. Strickland has had extensive training in DBT and CBT and has expertise in both therapies. She is particularly skilled in using DBT and CBT in the treatment of anxiety and eating disorders, alcohol and drug use, and borderline personality disorder. Ms. Strickland has been intensively trained in DBT by the Behavioral Technology Transfer Group, an organization led by the founder of DBT, Marsha Linehan, Ph.D. Previously, Ms. Strickland worked as a staff therapist at Yale where she co-led two clinical trials that examined the effectiveness of DBT compared to other "talk" therapies. Also at Yale, she served as a therapist and clinical supervisor in several large scale clinical trials that involved CBT. Ms. Strickland speaks publicly on topics involving CBT and DBT. She continues to offer supervision in both therapies.

Linda Leiphart, Psy.D.

Dr. Leiphart is a licensed clinical psychologist. She received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology/Argosy University. She received a Master's in Counseling Psychology from St. Mary's University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She has worked with a variety of psychological disorders in hospitals and various community agencies. Dr. Leiphart has had extensive training in DBT and CBT. She has been intensively trained in DBT by the Behavioral Technology Transfer Group, an organization headed by the developer of DBT, Marsha Linehan, Ph.D. She has led in the development of an outpatient and inpatient DBT programs.

Alison Caldwell-Andrews, Ph.D.

Dr. Caldwell-Andrews is a licensed clinical psychologist. She received her Ph.D. and an M.S. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Kentucky. She has most recently been on faculty at the Yale School of Medicine conducting research with parents and children. Her clinical experience includes providing individual and group therapies to a wide variety of clientele in community mental health centers, hospitals, forensic centers and private practice. She has received extensive training in DBT at the University of Kentucky, during her predoctoral internship at River Valley Services, and she completed an advanced DBT course with Marsha Linehan. Her training and experience with empirically supported therapies includes CBT and a number of behaviorally oriented, therapies for a range of disorders. She has adapted DBT-oriented therapies to forensic populations and pre-surgical populations and gathered outcome data regarding these treatments. She provides regular training in DBT to interns and residents, and enjoys public speaking. Dr. Caldwell-Andrews has experience with adult, adolescent and child therapies.
