CBT Consultation Group
This is a case consultation group for those therapists who already have
some familiarity with CBT and are interested in getting case consultation
in integrating these strategies into their clinical practice. In addition
to getting direct consultation on their own cases, the group provides
an opportunity for the therapist to see how others apply CBT to their
cases. The group has 3-5 therapist members and lasts for 1.5-2 hours.
We hold several groups each month and they most typically meet on Friday
mornings, although times may vary. Individual consultation is also available.
For more information and to enroll, please contact George H. Davis, Ph.D.
(203) 787-3070.
DBT Consultation Group
This is a case consultation group for those who are already familiar with
DBT and are more interested in continuing case consultation on their individual
cases. In addition to getting direct consultation on their own cases,
the group provides an opportunity for the therapist to see how other therapists
in the group integrate DBT into their clinical practice. The group is
limited to 3- 5 therapists and lasts for 1.5-2 hours. We hold several
groups per month and they most typically meet on Friday mornings, although
times may vary. Individual consultation is also available. For more information
or to sign-up, please contact George H. Davis, Ph.D. (203) 787-3070.
Adolescent Consultation Group
This case consultation group is intended for practitioners who have learned
the basics of either CBT, DBT or both, and are also interested in case
consultation around using these therapies with adolescents. In addition
to getting direct consultation on their own cases, the group provides
an opportunity for therapist to see how other therapists in the group
apply CBT and DBT in the treatment of adolescents. The group is limited
to 3-5 therapists and lasts for1.5-2 hours. We hold this group monthly
and it most typically meets on Monday around noon, although times may
vary. Individual consultation is also available. For more information
and to enroll, please contact George H. Davis, Ph.D. (203) 787-3070.
Workshops
We specialize in training mental health professionals in the delivery
of CBT and DBT in real world settings. In addition to the different types
of consultation groups outlined on this page, the Center offers training
in 2 day, 1 day, and half-day formats. Some of the topics we cover include:
DBT Skills Training, DBT Individual Therapy, DBT with substance users,
DBT with adolescents, Motivational Interviewing with substance users,

If you have questions or a training need other than those listed, please

work closely with you to design a training in either DBT or CBT that meets
your specific needs. For all workshops, we provide the curriculum and
